May 27, 2018 Trinity Sunday

Collect for Trinity Sunday:  Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

We welcome Father Bill Rex, our new interim priest-in-charge.  At the May 27th Coffee Hour, please take some time to meet and greet Father Bill and welcome him to Holy Trinity.

SUMMER SERVICE TIME CHANGE:  From May 27th through September 2nd, our weekly Sunday service start time will change to 9:30 am for this summer period.  We will return to the 10:00 am service start time on September 9th.

Sunday School:  Sunday School is held each Sunday at 10:00 am in the downstairs classroom.  Sunday School is open to all children from Kindergarten to 5th grade.

SUNDAY SCHOOL IS ON SUMMER BREAK.

Weekly Community Social Networking Event:  Every Monday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, we hold a discussion group led by David Nejako.  This is open to anyone from the parish or the community who would like to join in a group to discuss different subjects.   The topic for discussion on Monday, June 4th is “Padre Pio”.  Anyone who would like to connect with others in a discussion group setting is invited.

THE NEXT SOCIAL NETWORKING GROUP DISCUSSION WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, JUNE 4 DUE TO THE MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY.

Caring Committee:  “As the Father has loved me so I have loved you”—loving words of our Savior.  We have people in our Church who need our help, time and love.  If you can take someone on an errand (grocery store, pharmacy, etc.) or give them a ride to church, please call David Nejako at 215-767-6333.  Thank you for reaching out to help members of our church family.

Holy Trinity’s Sandwich Ministry – Each Friday Holy Trinity volunteers hand out sandwiches to hungry folks at the corner of 4th and Broad Streets at 11:00 am.   Questions? Please call the church office at 215-855-4431.

Men’s Breakfast Group:  All men are invited to attend the monthly Men’s Breakfast Group, which meets at 8:00 a.m. the last Saturday of every monthat the West Main Diner in Lansdale.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact Ray Medlin at raymedlin1211@yahoo.com.

Women’s Breakfast:  All women are invited to attend the monthly Women’s Breakfast which meets at 9:30 am the last Saturday of every monthat Franconi’s Restaurant in North Wales.  If you are interested in joining us or have questions, please contact JoAnn Ferrara atcelestialpresents@usa.com or call 267-410-1519.

Manna Outreach:  The children of Lansdale thank you for your contributions to Manna on Main Street.  Please continue to donate cupped fruit, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna, ham and salmon as well as snack bars and crackers.  Please remember to check the expiration dates. Also, remember cat and dog food, both wet and dry, is also collected for needy families with pets.

 WIC donations:  WIC of Lansdale on Broad Street is in need of diapers and diaper wipes for their clients.  We will be collecting diaper and wipes donations in the box in the Narthex and forwarding to WIC.
