The Weekly Newsletter of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church
November 5, 2017 All Saints’ Day
Collect for All Saints’ Day: Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
Sunday School: Sunday School is held each Sunday at 10:00 am in the downstairs classroom. Sunday School is open to all children from Kindergarten to 5th grade.
Adult Discussion Group: Beginning Sunday, October 22nd, the 9:00 am Adult Discussion Group will meet in the Chapel to begin an examination of the life of Jeremiah. The book that will guide us will be “Run with the Horses” by Eugene H. Peterson. Feel free to join us at any time. While reading the book in advance may be beneficial, it is in no way a requirement for entering the discussion. Contact Wayne Stratz at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
Baptism: Please join us at the Sunday, November 5th 10:00 am service when we will be baptizing Juliet Elise Broidrick, daughter of Jim and Traci Broidrick. A baptismal reception will follow the service. Come to the service and take part in this joyous occasion.
Weekly Community Social Networking Event: Every Monday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, we hold a discussion group in St. Margaret’s Hall led by David Nejako. This is open to anyone from the parish or the community who would like to join in a group to discuss different subjects. The topic on Monday, November 6th will be “The Founding of the Jewish State”. Anyone who would like to connect with others in a discussion group setting is invited.
Adult Bible Study: The Vestry has elected to begin a weekly adult Bible study. At the Vestry’s request, The Rev. Alan Broadhead will lead this study. It will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Mardi Gras Parade Participation: Holy Trinity will again this year be participating in the Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, November 18th. A box will be in the Narthex to collect candy that we can distribute along the parade route—an excellent use for your left-over Halloween candy! If you are interested in marching with us in the parade or in helping us decorate our wagon float, please see either Ray Medlin or Lorraine Flagg.
Holy Trinity is on Facebook! Please like our page and share it with your friends: facebook.com/holytrinitylansdale
Caring Committee: “As the Father has loved me so I have loved you”—loving words of our Savior. We have people in our Church who need our help, time and love. If you can take someone on an errand (grocery store, pharmacy, etc.) or give them a ride to church, please call David Nejako at 215-767-6333. Thank you for reaching out to help members of our church family.
Holy Trinity’s Sandwich Ministry – Each Friday Holy Trinity volunteers hand out sandwiches to hungry folks at the corner of 4th and Broad Streets at 11:00 am. Questions? Please call the church office at 215-855-4431.

If you are interested in joining us or have questions, please contact JoAnn Ferrara at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 267-410-1519.
Manna Outreach: The children of Lansdale thank you for your contributions to Manna on Main Street. Please continue to donate cupped fruit, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna, ham and salmon as well as snack bars and crackers. Please remember to check the expiration dates.
Also, remember cat and dog food, both wet and dry, is also collected for needy families with pets.
