The Weekly Newsletter of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church
September 10, 2017 Pentecost 14
Collect for Pentecost 14: Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Sunday School: Sunday School is held each Sunday at 10:00 am in the downstairs classroom. Sunday School is open to all children from Kindergarten to 5th grade.
Monthly Question & Answer Session: As a regular monthly feature, Pastor Christina will hold an informal question and answer session during Coffee Hour. This will be a regular feature at Coffee Hour the first week of every month. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have that Pastor Christina can answer for you. Join in the discussion with your questions and listen to the answers from others’ questions.
Weekly Community Social Networking Event: Every Monday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, we hold a discussion group in St. Margaret’s Hall led by David Nejako. This is open to anyone from the parish or the community who would like to join in a group to discuss different subjects. The topic on Monday, September 11th will be “Responses to Terrorism”. Anyone who would like to connect with others in a discussion group setting is invited.
Adult Bible Study: The Vestry has elected to begin a weekly adult Bible study. At the Vestry’s request, The Rev. Alan Broadhead will lead this study. It will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Forteniters: Once again, Holy Trinity will be preserving a long tradition of providing dinner for Forteniters Club members on Thursday evening, September 28th. Forteniters is a social club for folks who have been patients at Norristown State Hospital. This year’s dinner will be at East Norriton Park. Sign up in the narthex to provide food, attend the dinner or provide funds to purchase food. Plan to join us for a rewarding and fun evening!
